Irish HomeCare is to hire 200 staff as part of a €3m investment.

The positions on offer include care worker roles, managers, nurses and administrative support.

The Monaghan-based company, which currently employs over 600 people, will be hiring throughout Ireland and establishing new offices in regional towns and cities.

“We have been very successful in this market for 13 years, leading the way in standards, compliance and training,” Sally Murtagh, CEO of Irish HomeCare, said.

“Community-based care will not only allow our elderly remain in their own homes, as is their wish, but it will also sustain communities by keeping families together,” Ms Murtagh continued.

Irish HomeCare’s expansion follows the awarding of the new HSE tender for domiciliary care last week.

“While most of our investment is in new jobs, it will also involve upskilling existing staff and developing the nursing side of our business,” Ms Murtagh added.

Founded in 2005 by Sally Murtagh, Irish HomeCare has grown to become one of Ireland’s largest domiciliary care providers, supporting independent living in the community.

It currently operates in 12 counties and will now expand into all 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland.
