But Former Kaduna state governor, Malam Balarabe Musa, has expressed his deep disappointment with the finally handed over for screening by President Muhammadu Buhari. After having learned the names of candidates, Musa said there was nothing spectacular about those officials included in the list, Vanguard reports.
He wondered why it had taken Buhari months to come up with those nominees. He insisted it should be the main question from Nigerians to their president.
“These are the same old names, ordinary Nigerians who the President knows and he must have even met them several times. So, what is particular about them that he wasted so much time in appointing them ministers.
“But there are about two or three who I can say are distinguished among them like, Audu Ogbeh who I have known for a very long time. We were together during the Second Republic. He was a minister while I was governor then. Audu Ogbeh has an outstanding public record that everybody knows.”
It should be recalled that Senate president Bukola Saraki earlier today announced the 21-candidate list, which you can find in full here.
