Two men have been arrested by armed police in Yorkshire following the killing of a young father shot dead on a busy east London high street.
The men, aged 28 and 29, were detained in Doncaster during an armed swoop by officers from the Metropolitan Police and the South Yorkshire Constabulary on Wednesday.
They became the fourth and fifth people to be arrested over the shooting of Moses Fadairo, 25, who was gunned down in broad daylight in Chatsworth Road, Hackney, on Saturday. Mr Fadairo died at the scene after staggering into a butcher’s shop.
The 29-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and the younger man was held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
He is one of three men who had already been arrested over the killing. The other two have been released on police bail.
